A Game With The Devil

‘A Game With The Devil’ is a simple Blackjack card game set within a gloomy downtown 1950's bar. The game follows you as you look for a way out of a desperate situation in your life. You seek the aid of the Devil himself who is believed to work as a mysterious barman. Once in the bar, a conversation between you and the barman, or the Devil, begins wherein the Devil explains that he can help you in your desperation. The only thing the Devil asks for in exchange is a few rounds in a strange game of cards with some high stakes involved. The Devil offers an even greater life than what you initially asked for but in return, you must put their soul on the line and risk becoming just another bottled spirit on the barman’s shelf. The game that follows is a mix of the popular casino game ‘Blackjack’ and tarot card readings. This card game serves as the playable mechanics in the game, but the overarching story and conversation with the Devil will set the mood and provide the deeper philosophical meaning of the game.
